You have had an exhaustive day at work. You are 15 minutes away from home. You feel thirsty. You can not wait to get home and have a glass of cold water. You see a shop. They are selling plastic water bottles. You decide to buy one. It doesn’t cost much. You drink from the water bottle. The bottle is empty. You throw it in the garbage can. The bottle is in the garbage can. You go home. You have dinner. A dog on the street is looking for food. Dog finds the garbage can. Dog finds the bottle. Tries to eat it. Dog swallows the bottle cap. You go to sleep. The dog can not go to sleep. You got a promotion today. This is the happiest day of your life. On the same day, a dog has starved to death with a stomach full of indigestible plastic. You are on a date. You feel this is the one you want to spend your life with. The plastic bottle you used has started degrading. It is releasing micro-plastics. You are getting married. You have never been so happy. The plastic bottle you used is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. You became a parent. You feel blessed. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. Your daughter is growing up. It is her first day of school. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. Your daughter turned 17 today. You promised her to teach how to drive a car. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. Your daughter will go to college today. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. Your daughter is getting married today. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics. You have finally retired. You are sitting in a chair with a drink. Your life partner is sitting right next to you. You look at them. You close your eyes. Your whole life passes by your eyes. You have had a good life. The plastic bottle is still degrading. It is still releasing micro-plastics…

You are at peace.

The earth is not.

On average, a plastic bottle takes 100 years to degrade.

97% of the plastic that has ever been produced by humans still exists.

Make the right choice.

Avoid plastic.
